Willie Joseph Thomas

Mr. Willie Joseph Thomas was born on June 25, 1950, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Richard and Dorothy Stubbs. From an early age, he was surrounded by family and community who helped shape the kind, dependable, and compassionate man he would become.

Willie received his education in the Bibb County Public School System. He attended Unionville Elementary School and later Ballard-Hudson High School, where he formed many friendships and developed values of perseverance and respect that would guide him throughout his life.

In adulthood, Willie dedicated many years of service to his work. He was employed at Taylor Iron Works, where he was recognized for his strong work ethic and reliability. Later, he continued his career with Union Furniture Company, where he remained a valued employee until his retirement.

Willie was united in marriage to the late Pauline Ivey Thomas, and together they built a life grounded in love, commitment, and family.

He will forever be in the hearts of those who cherished and loved him.  Left to cherish his memories are his three children, Nathaniel Banks, Terrance Thomas and Tavares Brown all of Macon, Georgia; 6 devoted grandchildren, Nathaniel Joshua Banks, Arrika Reid, late Xavier Commodore, Nathaniel Antonio Banks, Madison Banks and Ava Banks; three great grandchildren, Ari Zaniyah Reid, Aryen Zyler Reid and Arlo Zishawn Reid; siblings, LaConstance Thomas Smith, Richard C. Stubbs, Jr., Kenneth Stubbs and Kathy Stubbs; devoted aunt-in-law, Mrs. Thelma Jackson and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
