Willie B. Meadows, Sr. was born on February 6, 1943, to the late Willie Meadows, Jr. and Alice Dudley Meadows. He was one of four children and was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Willie received his education through the Bibb County School System. Throughout his life, he was known as a kind-hearted and gentle man whose presence brought comfort and warmth to those around him. He was deeply loved and respected by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Willie accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on August 6, 1987, at Lizella Pentecostal Church. He remained faithful in his walk with Christ and was a dedicated servant to his church and his peers. Brother Meadows faithfully served on the Usher Board, and took pride in maintaining the church grounds. His commitment to God and the church family was evident through his consistent service, humility, and willingness to help wherever he was needed.
Willie was united in Holy Matrimony to Brenda Kay Morris, and to this union two sons were born. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Brenda Meadows; two sons, Willie Meadows, Jr. (Tabitha) and Daniel Meadows (Adelle); one grandson, Carter; one sister, Alice Meadows; four sisters-in-law, Lucille Meadows, Wanda Morris, Gloria Morris and Cynthia (Trent) Harpe; brother-in-law, Steve Morris and mother-in-law, Annie Morris and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, including a dear and special friend, Vernon Mayes. Willie’s legacy of love, faith, and dedication will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
