Mr. Willie Jarrell, Jr. was born March 31, 1962, to the parentage of the late Willie Leon Jarrell, Sr. and Connie Howard Jarrell.
He joined Greater Bellevue Baptist Church at an early age and later joined Greater Rising Star Full Gospel Tabernacle where he faithfully served.
Willie was educated in the Bibb County Public School System and played the saxophone in the Northeast High School Marching Band where he graduated in 1980. He joined the United States Army after graduation and served his country.
He worked for over 40 years in construction while having a passion for heavy operating machines and was a faithful long-time employee at Bentley and Sons Funeral Home.
Willie's love and gentle soul touched the hearts of many. He left a lasting impression on anyone who met and knew him . To know him was to love him and definitely be prepared to hold a long conversation. Willie was always the light of the room and would spread his vibrant energy and smile with anyone.
On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, he departed this earthly life. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother, Sabrina Jarrell and Steve Jarrell.
Willie leaves to cherish his memories with his loving family, his two sons, Willie (Marlanea) Jarrell, III and Travis (Tonya) Smith; forever loved by his daughters, Tawanda Thompson and Tamekia (Ellis) Veal; a devoted niece and nephew, Alecia Scott and Tony Mathis, Sr.; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; uncles, Albert (Valeria) Jarrell and Melvin (Brenda) Jarrell; aunts, Eloise Jackson, Bobbi Jackson and Berniece Colbert; devoted best friends, Deedra Hill and Pastor Marilyn Bookman and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
