Willie Lee Brown, Jr., 65, of Macon, Georgia returned home peacefully to the Lord on January 11, 2026. He was born on November 14, 1960, to Willie Lee Brown, Sr. and Mary Louise Washington Brown. He lived a life marked by service, faith and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.
Jr., as he was affectionately called, was a proud graduate of Southwest High School, class of 1978. Following his education, he answered the call to serve his country in the United States Army for about 18 years, achieving the rank of Sergeant E-5. His military service reflected the discipline, dedication and leadership that would define his character throughout his life.
A faithful servant and devoted member of Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church, Jr. shared his love of worship through the church’s men’s choir, where his voice joined others in praise and fellowship. His faith was the foundation of his life, guiding his actions and shaping the compassionate, optimistic, spirit he shared with everyone he encountered.
Jr. had a gift for making people feel valued and heard. He was the person you could count on—whether you needed a listening ear, a helping hand, or words of encouragement. He had a remarkable ability to make something out of nothing and always found a way to help, giving what he had or doing his best with what was available. His friendly, reliable nature and resilient spirit touched countless lives.
Family was everything to Jr. He cherished time spent with loved ones, enjoyed going out to eat, and never missed an opportunity to watch his favorite sports. His laughter and presence brought joy to every gathering.
Jr. leaves to cherish and celebrate his memory his beloved wife, Venuesa; his children, Juan, Willie Boy, Verna, Bernard, Keniche, Velysia and Velia; his brother, Keith and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
