Wanda Glover Obituary

Wanda Diane Glover, a beacon of strength and love, gracefully departed this life on March 18, 2024, at the age of 70, after bravely battling lung cancer, brain cancer, and heart disease. She leaves behind a legacy of courage and unwavering faith.

Born July 15, 1953 to Bobby and Wilhelmina Wimbush, who are both deceased, Wanda’s journey was defined by resilience and determination. A graduate of Southwest High School in 1971, she embarked on a journey filled with love, laughter and dedicated services to others.

Throughout her life, Wanda touched countless lives through her various roles and endeavors. From her work at Van Brode Milling Company, to her time spent at Grant’s Lounge, she left an indelible mark wherever she went. Despite facing challenges, including her battle with breast cancer which led to her retirement from the Macon Youth Development Center, Wanda's spirit remained unbroken.

Wanda's faith was a cornerstone of her life, as evidenced by her active involvement in Beulahland Bible Church until her health began to decline. Her devotion to her faith and family served as an inspiration to all who knew her.

Wanda's greatest pride and joy were her daughters, Chiquita Glover-Perkins (Kevin) and Jasmine Hampton (Stan), whom she cherished beyond measure. She found immense joy in the love and laughter of her grandchildren: Dominique, Savion, Amir, Jamarion, Keelan, Stan Jr., Sha’Nya, and Ladamien.

In addition to her immediate family, Wanda is survived by nieces and nephew, Jarica Stubbs, Corey Stubbs, and Devontae Sandifer, as well as uncle, Jack Davis and aunt, Gloria Davis. She also leaves behind devoted friends, Cynthia Mallory and Mildred Reynolds, along with numerous cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a multitude of friends and former co-workers.

Though she may have left this earthly realm, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. Her memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In honoring Wanda's memory, let us carry forth her legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering faith. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
