Walter Lee Lockett, Jr.

Mr, Walter Lee Lockett Jr. was born July 3, 1946, in Lizella Georgia to the parentage of the late Walter Lee Lockett Sr. and Mrs. Annie Laura Lockett. Affectionately known as "June" Walter Lockett Jr. attended Ballard Hudson High School.

Mr. Walter Lee Lockett Jr. was enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 1965 and was enlisted through 1971. During his enlistment, he earned the rank of Sergeant and served two terms in the Vietnam War. After serving time in the Marine Corps, he worked as a skilled brick mason. He was joined in holy matrimony to the late Ms. Cornelious Dunn Lockett in 1968. To this union, five children were born in which two of whom preceded him in death, a son Arrellius Lockett Sr., and a daughter Prissanna Lockett Smith. Also preceded in death by two sisters Willa Nora Jones and Shirley Hatcher.

Mr. Walter Lee Lockett, Jr. was loved and respected by many. He leaves to cherish his memories to six children, Ms. Tausha (Lemonte) Bentley, Maquita Lockett, Oneko Lockett, Marier Wynes, Anthony Meadows, Antonio (Nikki) Meadows. He also leaves to cherish a devoted significant other Carrie Meadows. Mr Lockett has one devoted brother Mr. Johnny (Mary) Jackson. Brothers Marion Miller, Edgar Lockett, and Bobby Lockett. Sisters Ms. Willie Jones, Emma (ST.) Hart. He also leaves to cherish 22 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
