On February 5, 2025, Vildra Bridgette Shannon heard the voice of the Master’s call and transitioned from her earthly presence to her Heavenly home.
Vildra, affectionately known as Bridgette, was born October 22, 1963, to Rayjean Harris Shannon in Macon, Georgia. She attended the Bibb County Public Schools system and was a dedicated former employee of Finchers Barbecue, where she retired.
Bridgette was a well known pillar of the Fort Hill community. She would spend countless hours in the kitchen, giving meals to anyone that was in need or want. Bridgette was always the life of the party.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Willie Lee Burnette.
Bridgette leaves behind her precious memories to her mother, Ray Jean Harris Shannon; children, Lakecia Shannon, Shedrick (Porcia) Frye, Darius Frye, Tremaine Frye all of Macon, Georgia; three sisters, Sherry (Reverend Donald) Miller, Carolyn Harris and Dena Shannon; four brothers, Willie (Reverend Faye) Shannon, William E. Shannon, Raykeith Shannon, Marcus Shannon, Sr. all of Macon, Georgia; eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Along with a dedicated devoted friend, Richard Orr.
