Mis. Velma Adams Bebee was born on April 6, 1940 in Lamar County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Sylvester and Alma Adams. She departed her life on March 14, 2025 in Macon, Georgia.
Faye, as she sometimes was affectionately called by friends, had a strong sense of faith in her religion. She was a devoted and loving mother to her children. She enjoyed the lighter side of life as she was quick-witted and possessed a great sense of humor. She was knowledgeable and often imparted her wisdom to those whom she encountered. She was a kind woman who always believed in helping others. These qualities transferred to her career choice, as her background was in social work. She was a public servant for the State of Georgia where she served admirably. She retired from the Department of Family and Children Services after over 30 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sylvester and Alma Adams; siblings Thomas James Adams, Aleaine Stevenson, Mary Grace Wilkerson, Mattie Lyons, Margie Brooks, Genell Wilburn, Alta Ruth Jenkins and Pansy Adams Burnett.
She is survived by her loving husband Mr. Otis Bebee and four children: Maureen (Michael), Andrew (Barbara) Rogers, Jr., Wendy Rogers and Marcia A. Bebee, grandchildren: Velma (Carl), Alisia Faulk, Eric Rogers, Corey Rogers, Donovan, Shaughnessy [Shaquaris - (fiancé)] Harris, great-grandchildren: Michael Faulk, Jayden, Jacob, Deava Harris, and Dailon Rogers.
