Tristan Kyrie Cornelius was born November 13, 2017, to the loving parentage of Jasmine Haynes and Bobby Cornelius, Jr. of Macon, Georgia. Tristan Kyrie Cornelius, known to his family and friends as “Cat” or “Fattman” was a bright, loving, and joyful young boy. He graduated first grade with an A and B honor roll from Veterans Elementary School. He just received the United Way Readers Award.
Tristan was known for his infectious smile, kind heart, and boundless curiosity. No matter where he was he brought the noise and made an instant friend. He would come home and say, “I invited my friend to spend the night.”
Tristan cherished creating videos with his brother, Deontre and Uncle Bobby, while his love for reading flourished during the weekends spent at Barnes and Noble with his brother and grandmother. His adventurous spirit brought laughter and warmth to his family. He constantly reached out to his loved ones via FaceTime, sharing his heartfelt message, “I love you, and let’s have some fun.” He would call until you answered the phone. When asked how he wanted to spend the day, he would always tell his mom “Having fun and watching Spider Man.” He dreamed of meeting the real Peter Parker.
Tristan treasured every moment with his loved ones. He was not only a beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend but also a reminder of the joy that comes from living life to the fullest and embracing love wholeheartedly. His sweet spirit would light up a room. To know Tristan is to know pure, genuine sweetness.
The joy of his smile and loving spirit will forever be cherished by his brothers, Deontre Haynes, Ethan Cornelius, Uncle Bobby (SharKecia) Haynes, Jr., Darnell (Miranda) Flowers, Antonio Flowers, Demontae (Lenroa) Flowers, Dexter (Bre) Flowers; aunts, Jamesha Flowers, Iesha Flowers and Zyan Cornelius; grandmother, Latoya Flowers and Kimberli Hobbs; grandfather, Bobby Cornelius, Bobby Haynes, Sr. and Dexter Flowers, Sr.; great grandmother, Lisa Kendrick and a host of cousins, great uncles and great aunts.
