Thelma Lee "Poom-Poom" Brinson Wilcox born November 1, 1960, to the late parentage Marie Hightower-Brinson and John Wesley Brinson.
She attended Bibb County public school system then later attended Central Georgia Technical College where she studied for Early childhood Development and worked numerous jobs in Macon GA.
In 1976 Thelma meet the love of her life a Billy Joe Wilcox Sr., 1982, he became her husband and father of her six wonderful kids.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age, reborn and became a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Poom-Poom was the life of any party and for those who knew her, knew she LOVED to talk and was very funny, if you had the time and would listen, she would talk to you for hours. She had a deep passion for FAMILY her husband, kids, grandkids, cooking, pressing play, shopping, dressing up, planning events and traveling.
On April 27,2026 Thelma transitioned leaving this Earthly life, surrounded by the ones she loved.
Preceding in death her mother Marie Hightower-Brinson and her father John Wesley Brinson, maternal grandparents Thelma McClain Hightower (Willie) Robinson, Ulysses Hightower, paternal grandparents Bertha and Willie Stanley, her In-laws Queen and Joseph Wilcox, her sister Gloria Jean Brinson.
She leaves her precious and cherished memories to her devoted husband Billy Joe Wilcox, Sr.; their six kids, Billy Joe (Jennifer) Wilcox Jr., O'narrius (Breaella) Wilcox, LaTonya Wilcox, Ebony Wilcox, Christian Wilcox and Brittney Wilcox, two amazing bonus kids Rico Moss and leisha Henry, fourteen grandkids, seven great grandkids, her siblings that she loved dearly, sisters Debbie Marcus (Tony) White, Maria (Trey) Sampson, Tina Brinson, Veronica Brinson, Devonta Brinson, Jakeithia Granville, Crystal Brinson and her brothers Micheal Hill, Jimmy Granville, nieces and nephews she assisted in raising Tawanda Carter, Jerodney Brinson, Le'Charles Harrell, Candice Harrell, Savannah Harrell, Christopher Harrell, Isiah Harrell, lan & Isan Sampson along with a host aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends that loved her.
