Mr. Terrence L. Burnette, Sr., age 59, of Jeffersonville, Georgia departed this life on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
Terrence was born on October 23, 1966, in Patterson, New Jersey to Ida Bell McClinton. At the age of eight, he moved to Jeffersonville, Georgia. He was a father, grandfather, brother and friend, known for his entertaining spirit, strong will and strong work ethic.
He joined Higgsville Baptist Church at an early age.
Terrence was educated in the Twiggs County Public School System and graduated from Twiggs County High School. In his early years, he enjoyed playing basketball and excelled in the area of sports. He joined the Marine Corp immediately after graduation. After completing his military service, he was employed at Evans Clay for numerous years. He worked diligently at different jobs. He had a strong work ethic.
He was married to his wife of 23 years, Evelyn Rouse Burnette.
Terrence was the father of Brandon (Oneshia) Burnette, Terrence Burnette, Jr. (Jacquetta), Sharrod Burnette, Sharita Jenkins, Jade Cornelious. He was the bonus father to Shamar, Terrence and Niquelia Rouse. He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted mother, Ida McClinton; siblings, Erie Sudler, Ulanda McClinton and David Jones (Kanisha); sixteen grandchildren, along with the many other relatives and dear friends.
Terrence will be remembered for his wild sense of humor (WILD MAN), his love for music and his love for people. His presence will be deeply missed in his community.
