Shirley Ann Newson

Shirley Ann Newson was born on February18,1955 to Martha Davis and Lonzo Jackson, both of whom preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory to a devoted husband 51years, Ricky Van Colson; her childrens, Marcus Newson, Tiffany Newson, Alondra Newson(Darryl, Vanshaun Card, and Runkecia Moss(Carl); her sister, Barbara Jean Freeman; nieces, Vanessa Dudley (Dewayne) and Angela Newson; nephews, Taurus Newsome (Lenora) and Lawrence Freeman Jr.
(Cheryl); along with a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.  She was blessed with 13 grandchildren; Marcus Newson, Shamontae Newson (Shamekia), Shamarko Newson (Quterria), Shamarcus James, Zhi'Keila Butler, MarQuisha Redding, Marquees Grier, Frankeshia Woodard (Dewayne) ChanDarricka Jones, Malik Troup, Calvondra Newson(Tacorion),Faith Evans (Savon), and Zhantorria Newson. She also leaves behind 19 great grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Shirley was the heart of her family.She found Happiness in being a homemaker and took great pride in raising not only her children but also helping nuture her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She treasured her weekly conversations with her beloved sister,sharing laughter,stories, id their love of wrestling.Her kindness,strength, wisdom,and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her.

Though she has departed this earthly life, her legacy of ove, faith,and family will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
