Sheila Sue Oglesby departed peacefully on February 10, 2026, surrounded by her daughter and loved ones who cherished her deeply.

She lived a life marked by love, strength and unwavering devotion to her family. Though she was the baby girl, Sheila was the glue that continually held her family together. She sought to maintain peace, offering patience, understanding and care to those around her. Her nurturing spirit and grace left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was a proud graduate of Central High School, class of 1981. A devoted believer in Christ, she accepted Christ as her Savior and became a member of Greater Overcoming Church of God. She entered the workforce and dedicated more than 20 years of service to Macy’s Department Store. Her strong work ethic, kindness and warm spirit were deeply appreciated by both colleagues and customers.
Sheila was a true fashionista who loved to step out in style, carefully coordinating her outfits, eyeshadow and statement jewelry, including her necklaces and earrings. Her flair for fashion reflected her vibrant personality and joyful spirit.
She leaves to cherish her memory to her devoted daughter, Tatiana Smith; her beloved grandson, Fletcher Lee Seay IV, who was truly her pride and joy; and her cherished godson, Demariaé (Bud) Cotton.
Sheila also leaves to cherish her precious memory her four siblings, Laverne (Wayne) Henderson, Willie (Gail) Oglesby, Otis Smith and Angela Smith. She is further survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will miss her dearly.
