Shandra S. Combs was born on January 23,1972, to the parentage of Jeanette Green and the late Melvin Combs Sr., of Macon, Georgia.
She received her formal education in the Bibb County School District. She was a hard and dedicated worker as shown by her years of service to Sam’s Club. Shandra was a woman of deep compassion, quiet strength, and unwavering love. She had a gift for making everyone feel seen and valued, whether through her warm smile, thoughtful words, or the countless small acts of kindness she offered so freely. Her presence brought comfort, her laughter brought joy, and her love left a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Shan was a loving daughter, mother, sister, cousin, auntie, niece and friend. Her kids, family, friends, and co-workers will miss her bright smile.
Shandra departed this life for her Heavenly home on June 7, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Combs Sr.; two nephews, Kenya Wilcox and Javoris Swint and one niece, Victoria Veal.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Jeanette Green; her seven kids, Zantoria Neal, Ashley Lattimore, Jaquavious Combs, Channing Combs, Ja’hnia Fowler, Londyn Fowler, and Serenity Combs; step mother, Karolyn Combs; two God daughters, Charlissa Smith and Taquisa Barnwell; two grandsons, Zyaain and Zyahir Neal; three sisters, Darnetha Combs, Tawana (Dartrich) Alexander and Sherome Harris; two brothers, Melvin Combs, Jr. and Shanard Green; aunts, Harriette Ogbodo, Lucille Meadows, Lillie Bell Bryant, Valerie (Cyrus) Stevenson and Patricia Combs; uncles, Alfred Combs and Howard (Gloria) Combs; two special friends, Teresa Dugger and Angelique Lattimore and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and many friends.
