Samuel Langford, Sr.

The hearts of late Richard and Mary Ann Langford rejoice on October 15, 1964 in Macon, Georgia as good spirits manifested in a form of his son Samuel Langford was the last of ten children.  He departed his life on May 9, 2023 from cancer.  Samuel was educated from the following schools in Macon, Georgia; St. Peter Claver Catholic School, he graduated from Southwest High School.  He was a retired truck driver for 20 years.  He loved fishing, basketball and was the life of the party.    He also loved laughing and spending time with the family.  He had the gift of gab and he loved to use choice words for the ones he cared for the most.  He loved riding motorcycles, bikes, and landscaping his children's yards.  His favorite holiday was Christmas and it was a big product for his children.  He was a master on the grill and made sure everyone ate before he did.  His favorite song was "Sunshine" by Alexander O'Neal.

He was a dedicated father and devoted son.  On Thursday, May 9, 2023 Samuel joined his mother, Mary Ann Langford Whisby, his father, Richard Samuel Langford and his oldest brother, George Orange in heaven.  Samuel was survived by two daughters, Samantha "Bok" Langford and Lakeisha "Baby" Howard, one son, Samuel "Sam" Langford, Jr.; seven brothers: Juanita Orange of Macon, May (Richard) Smith of Texas, Bob "Renelda" Orange of Macon, Willie (Tracy) Turner of Macon, Evans "Ezelle Faamalele" Orange of Oklahoma, Howard "Laura" Orange of Virginia, Jimmy "Maryland" Orange of Augusta, Richard Langford of Byron, Georgia, Clarence "Katrina" Langford of Decatur, Georgia.

Five grandchildren: Malik Reynolds Langford, Armani Langford, An'iyah Langford, Samuel Langford III, Manuel Langford, two dogs: Buddy and Spirit, and a host of nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.
