Our beloved, Samuel “Gene” Pitts was born to the late Fannie and Henry Pitts on September 29, 1948. He attended Bibb County Public Schools. Samuel was employed at Payne Mills for over 20 years and Atlas Roofing for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing with his buddies.
Samuel gained his wings on Thursday, April 1, 2025.
Samuel was preceded in death by his father, Henry Pitts, Sr.; mother, Fannie Mae Smith Pitts Singleton; brother, Henry Pitts, Jr.; his sister-in-law and her husband, Deborah Ann and Henry HazelRay and his grandson, Dequan Davis.
He leaves to cherish his loving and wonderful memories to his devoted wife, Agnes “LilBit” Pitts; his devoted brother, Al “Pete” Phillips, Jr.; two loving devoted daughters, Deborah (Brian) Davis, Demetriece Davis; his other children, Major Tony Balkcom, Van
