Rudolph Floyd was born on April 26, 1960, in Macon, Georgia, to his beloved mother, Bertha Lee Floyd. He peacefully departed this life on May 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, integrity, and dedication. Rudolph was cherished deeply by his family and was affectionately known as "Pops" to Rudy and "Daddy" to Amanda. He found great joy in spending quality time with his loved ones, and his presence brought warmth and comfort to every family gathering. His kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering support made him a pillar in the lives of those closest to him.
Rudolph proudly served his country as a Rifleman in the United States Marine Corps for four years, later continuing his commitment through the Reserves. His time in the Marines instilled in him a sense of discipline, neatness, and personal responsibility that shaped the rest of his life. He carried these values into his civilian career as a dedicated truck driver, traveling across much of the United States with pride and professionalism. Rudolph also had the unique opportunity to travel to Japan during his military service, an experience he spoke of fondly. His impeccable work ethic and high standards left a lasting impression on everyone who worked with him.
In his personal life, Rudolph was a man of many interests and talents. He had a passion for cooking, enjoyed peaceful moments spent fishing, and loved to draw and care for dogs.
Rudolph was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Lee Floyd, and brothers, James Floyd, Melvin Floyd, and Zack Dempsey.
He is survived by his sisters, Angel Ann Braswell and Pauline "Peaches" Thomas; son, Rudolph "Rudy" (Alisha) Floyd Jr; daughter, Amanda (Blake) Lindsey; six grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, strong moral character, and the love he shared so freely. His absence will be profoundly felt, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
