Robert Mains, age 67, passed away Thursday evening, March 19, 2026. Robert was born October 10,1958, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Leon Mains, Sr. and Rosie Mae Mains.
Robert was a strong and firm man, who began his journey in lite as a groundskeeper for Weslyan College, which eventually led him to become a truck driver until he retired in 2002. Robert was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. Overall, he was a great provider, who loved his family. Robert was a smooth-talking, well dressed, and well-respected man and he will truly be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his four sisters, Annie Pearl Glover, Mildred Cain, Carolyn Marie Mains, and Shirley Webb and his granddaughter Jesiah Razor.
Robert was survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Mains, of 40 years; his four children, Tameko Smith, Caurris Smith, Regina Mains, and Rodriguez Mains; his brothers; Leon Mains Jr., Glen Mains, and Paul Mains; his sisters, Jeanette Williams (Greg Williams) and Pauline Thurman, and his eight grandchildren, Candice Smith, Jakwon Smith, Amauri Smith, Natia Lester, Marquise Jackson, McKayla Jackson, Jaxon Smith, and Zy Yanna Hudson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
