Reyshun Jamaad Haywood February 5, 1998 – January 15, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Reyshun Jamaad Haywood, who left this world on January 15, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer.
He was 26 years old. Born on February 5, 1998, Reyshun was a beloved son, brother, nephew, godfather, and friend whose creativity, passion, and vibrant spirit left a lasting impact on everyone he met. His presence was undeniable—he lit up every room he walked into with his infectious energy, warm smile, and uplifting spirit. Reyshun was an entrepreneur and fashion visionary, creating multiple clothing brands throughout the years, using his unique sense of style to inspire others. He was also a brand ambassador for Kashmob Apparel, further cementing his love for fashion and self-expression. Beyond his passion for design, Reyshun loved basketball, music, and video games, always bringing joy, laughter, and friendly competition to those around him. Reyshun shared an unbreakable bond with his mother, Rachel Jones. They were inseparable, supporting each other through every moment of life with love, strength, and devotion. Their connection was one of pure love, and his presence will forever be felt in her heart.
He is survived by his loving parents, Rachel Jones Haywood and Calvin Haywood; siblings, Jala Haywood, Spencer Haywood, Antonio Haywood, and Arkeilia McClinton; godson, Ka’Mauri Dickson; grandmother, Audrey King; aunts,Yashika Maynard(Rayfield), Shamika Haywood, and Courtney Brawner; uncles, Spencer Jones Jr., Khiry King, Vernon King(Lanita), Maurice King, Calvin Green, Dennis Green Jr; and a host of extended family and close friends who will cherish his memory forever.
Reyshun was preceded in death by his grandparents, Phebe H. Jones, Spencer Jones Sr., and Herbert King; his sister, Brianna Jones; and other loved ones who now welcome him with open arms. Though his time with us was far too short, Reyshun’s light will never fade. His strength, ambition, and fearless pursuit of his dreams will continue to inspire those who knew him.
A celebration of Reyshun’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at noon at Magnolia Baptist Church, where family and friends will come together to honor his memory. Rest peacefully, Reyshun. Your light will shine on forever.
