Obituary

Reuben "Bubba" Brown was born January 25, 1937 in Forsyth, Georgia to the late parenatage of Willie Andrew Brown and Lugenia Chambliss Brown.

Reuben received his education in Monroe County and Bibb County.  He joined the United States Army in 1955.

Reuben "Bubba" Brown, 86 of Macon, Georgia departed his life on Friday, September 8, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Mae Davis Brown; daughter, Ciera Hiley Brown; grandson, Javaris Brown; great grandson, Messiah Brown; siblings, Dorothy Buckner, James Brown, Julius Brown, Joan Brown and Sharon Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memories seven children, Fonda Davis, Tamera (Anthony) Starling, Reuben Brown, Jr., Kimela Brown, William Brown, Darquili Johnson and Rodney Johnson; stepson, Terrance Hill; three sisters, Geraldine Harris, Betty Spencer and Carolyn Sampson; two brothers, Richard "Hazel" Brown and Preston "Jackie" Brown; twelve grandchildren; a devoted great grandson, De'Vontoe Brown; devoted grandson, Bernard Brown; twenty eight great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
