Reda Laverne Foster was born on May 9, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Ruth Little and Oscar Williams. She received her wings on December 15, 2025.
In 1965, Reda relocated to Macon, Georgia, where she attended Ballard-Hudson High School.
She later married the love of her life, Edward Foster (deceased), and together they shared 44 years of bliss.
With a natural heart for service, Reda dedicated much of her working life to caring for others. Her compassion and commitment were evident throughout her career at The Medical Center, from which she later retired. Taking care of people was not just her profession—it was who she was.
Reda enjoyed shopping and watching her favorite television shows. She was known as the life of the room—always honest, always outspoken, and never afraid to tell it like it was. Loving, funny, and heartfelt, Reda’s presence brought warmth and laughter to those around her.
Known for her warm spirit, Reda often greeted loved ones with her favorite saying, “hey darling.” Always the life of the room, she was honest, loving, funny, and heartfelt.
Reda Laverne Foster will be remembered for her generous spirit, her humor, and the love she shared so freely with family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Oscar Lavalle Williams of Miami, Florida; her children, Dawyone Patrice (Kevin) Lawrence, Mark Anthony (Latasha) Williams, Corey Ladarrell (Chasitie) McKinney, Adarphus Lee McKinney III, and Ashley Ruth Foster; her grandchildren, Kevin Dewayne Lawrence, Asia Williams (deceased), Mikayla Williams, Marcus McKinney, Antonio McKinney, Abree McKinney, Cameron McKinney, Brandon McKinney, Jared Foster, Ashton Foster, Kerry Parker, and Kasey Parker (deceased); and her great-grandchildren, Marcus McKinney Jr. and Jamir Foster.
