Phyllis Reeves-Thompson, 62, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025.
Phyllis was born on February 23, 1963, in Roberta, Georgia, to the late Horace Jordan and Annie Maude Reeves. She lived a joyful life filled with laughter and love for her family. She had a lifelong appreciation for music, cars, and valued learning, earning multiple certifications, but treasured time with loved ones most of all.
Phyllis will be remembered for her warm sense of humor, her generous spirit, and her willingness to help anyone in need. She had a kind and giving nature that touched the lives of all who knew her.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her father, Horace Jordan.
She is survived by her loving mother, Annie Maude Reeves of Atlanta, Georgia; her sisters, Donita Barrow of Atlanta, Georgia, and Tangee Reeves-Byrd (Larry Byrd) of Atlanta, Georgia; and her brother, Willie Reeves of Atlanta, Georgia. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews, Reje Barrow, Lakeya Reeves, Tari Barrow, and Quyana Barrow all of Atlanta, Georgia, Antoine Reeves of Snellville, Georgia; Larry Byrd Jr. of Washington, D.C.; and Andre Spearman of Decatur, Georgia. In addition, she is survived by her beloved great-nieces, Arianna Reeves and Journey Spearman, and great-nephew, Ryan Graham.
