Omega, a beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend entered into God’s pearly gates Thursday, July 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Omega attended the Bibb County Public School system and worked at Crown Candy and Perdue for many years, but he always had a hustle.
Known for his cleverness and huge heart, Omega found joy in the little things, especially a good game of spades or tonk, where he was a force to be reckoned with. He was the kind of man that would open his doors to anyone in need and he could light up a room with his laughter, he never missed an opportunity to share a joke or bring a smile to someone’s face.
Omega was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandmothers; maternal grandfather; aunt, Linda Reeds; uncles, Richard Lawrence, Ronnie, Tommy and Freddie Mathis and nephew, Jeremy Ashley, Jr.
Omega will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind his mother, Vanessa Bright; father, Omega Murray, Sr.; paternal grandfather, Omega Holmes; one aunt, Amanda King; uncles, Kenneth and Marvin Mathis; two brothers, Marion Simmons and Eric (Monique) Robinson; one sister, Veronica (Anthony) Atkins; children, Jyneque Poole and Frankie Cater and a host of cousins, friends, family and his close inner circle.
