Oliver "MAN BOY" Glover, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, peacefully passed away on April 15, 2025, at the age of 72 in Macon, Georgia, Born on April 5, 1953, in the heart of Twiggs County, GA, Oliver lived a life full of quiet wisdom and unspoken warmth.
A proud alumnus of Twiggs County High, Oliver was a man of few words, yet he spoke volumes through his actions. His 25-year tenure at MHA was marked by dedication and steadfast commitment, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends. After retiring, he embraced the simple joys of lije, working for another decade at Fountain Car Wash, where his warm nods and easy smiles became a cherished part of thi community.
In 1975, Oliver married the love of his life, Dye'ann Harris. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. He was a devoted father to Vanessa Durham (Dexter), Gwana Harris (John), Vonarica Glover (Maurice), Kendrick Glover (Shameka), and his bonus daughter, Katina Harris-each of whom carries forward his legacy of kindness, strength, and grace.
Though soft-spoken, Oliver's presence was a comforting constant in the lives of his siblings: Barbara Glover, Gregory Glover, Dwyane Glover, and Debra Rouse, a devoted siste in law; Frances Harris as well as his devoted best friend, Steven Edwards. His gentle spirit and unwavering support created bonds that time cannot break.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Amanda Wilson-Butler and Oliver Gover, Sr: grandparents, Shade and Martha Glover; brothers, Larry Sanders, J.T. Stephens, and Charles Stephens. Each of whom left a lasting imprint on his life and heart.
Oliver also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who brought him immense joy and who will continue to carry his memory forward with love and pride.
In remembering Oliver, we hold onto the quiet moments and the unspoken love he gave so freely. His life was a testament to enduring tove, humility, and the power of presence.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him.
