After a lengthy battle with dementia, our mother, Myra Helen Bryant Hillsman passed on October 20, 2025 at the age of 89. Mom was born in Collins, GA to Mary Magdalene Hampton Lyons and George Bryant. Mom graduated from Ballard Hudson High in Macon, GA where she played basketball. She worked at Warner Robins Airforce Base as a civil servant. She retired after 37 years as a warehouse supervisor.
She was preceded in death by 2 of ber children, Ennis Murray Jr (Pauline) and Debra Cordy. She is survived by her 3 living children, Elbert Cordy Jr, Bridgitte Morgan, Darrell Cordy (Moeshda), Sherrill Billingslea (Grier "Doc" Godfrey) and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also leaves behind an Aunt Odessa Hampton, sisters - in-law Catherine Thomas and Edith Wright, and brothers in law Buford Mathis and Eddie Hurst. Mom was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Baptist Church. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her home, family, gardening, hosting card parties, and listening to music.
