Mya Brown was born on January 6, 2001, to her loving mother, Brenda Brown. She graduated from Jones County High School. She had a career at YKK, McDonnells, Mr. Chips, Checkers and Strathfield. Mya enjoyed working and she was the type of person to give you the shirt off her back.
Mya was deeply cherished by her family and friends, who admired her strength, kindness, and radiant spirit. She especially treasured her role as a mother to her only son, Atrayas Brown, who was the center of her world. She loved her mother and father very much.
She transitioned from this life on September 12, 2025. Mya was preceded in death by her daughter, Ariel Brown; her uncle, Stephen Brown; and her aunt, Ladedra Brown. Though her life was far too short, she left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of everyone who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Atrayas Brown; her devoted mother, Brenda Brown; her father, Nathaniel Williams; her brothers, LaMarion Brown, Aaliyah Brown, Torey Brown, Christopher Brown, and LaMarkis Brown; and her nieces, Kennedi Brown and LaMarion Brown, Jr. Though her earthly presence will be deeply missed, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and loved ones. Mya’s love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on through the legacy she leaves behind.
