Monroe Hudson Obituary

Monroe Riggie Hudson was born in Macon, Georgia on September 9, 1959, to the parentage of Louise E. Ruff Hudson.

Monroe was a beloved son, brother, father and cherished member of the Macon community.  He was famously known as the son of the legendary Louise “Mama Louise” Hudson, the iconic culinary matriarch and co-founder of Macon’s historic H&H Restaurant.

Growing up deeply rooted in the heart of Middle Georgia’s culture, Monroe was widely recognized for being incredibly social, exceptionally talented, and profoundly dedicated to his faith. His warmth, kindness, and spiritual devotion left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Monroe was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Louise E. Ruff Hudson; brother, Altonia Brooks and son, Willie Williams.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving sisters, Lucy Hudson O’Neal and Valda Hudson; son, Quantirius Hudson, alongside an extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and a vast community of friends and soul food devotees who became like family over the decades.
