Michael Spencer Obituary

On the 10th day of April 1961, in Bibb County, Georgia, God allowed a very rare gem to be ushered into the world through the parentage of the late Felton and Lena Spencer.

On the 22nd day of July 2025, after observing that his gem’s luster was fading, God dispensed His angels to retrieve this precious gem so that he could be restored to his original shining glory in His presence.

At an early age, he joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and served as a choir member.  He was educated in the Bibb County School system and graduated from Central High School in 1979.  He immediately joined the United States Navy as a dental hygienist and served well in Naval Field tasks as a Petty Officer 3rd Class.

He was united in marriage to the late Betty V. Robinson Spencer and two beautiful children were born into this union and a bonus daughter was gained from the union.

Mr. Spencer’s comical generosity of spirit was a legacy that will be remembered and cherished by his loving and devoted children, Michael Spencer, Jr., Shaniekqa Robinson and Kyra Spencer.  Michael also leaves a loving mother-in-law, Lillie Robinson.  He was preceded in death by two siblings, George Spencer and Linda Spencer Battle.  Siblings left to cherish Michael’s memories, Betty Patterson, Johnny Deshazer (Mary), Felton Spencer, Jr., James Spencer, Prophetess Doris Pennyman (Dwight), Minister Sheryl Reese, Evangelist Evelyn Nelson, Paulette Spencer, Paula Lattimore (Tyrone), Pastor Betty Cody (William). Michael also leaves to cherish his memories, two brothers-in-law, Johnny Gardner (Luvenia) and Daniel Robinson (Kia) and one sister-in-law, Angie Robinson (Mark) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends that will cherish his memories.
