Michael Brown Obituary

Affectionately known as "Bo," Michael Brown was born on May 5, 1961, to Lois Brown of Macon, Georgia, and Solomon Brown of Perry, Georgia.

Michael grew up in Georgia and attended the Bibb County Public School system, where he developed a lifelong love of learning and a deep appreciation for the community he called home. As a dedicated family man, Michael built a life rooted in love, kindness, and service to others. He was known for his unwavering support and dedication to his family, always putting their needs before his own.

Michael's kindness and helpful nature extended far beyond his immediate family. Friends and loved ones describe him as a selfless man who was always there to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. Whether it was fixing a problem, sharing his wisdom, or simply being a comforting presence, Michael's impact on his community was immeasurable. His generosity and caring spirit earned him the love and respect of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Michael made his peaceful transition on Monday, January 20, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Brown; his brothers, Carlton Brown and Ellis Williams; his sister, Irish Brown; and his nephew, Roderick Brown.

A beloved father, Michael leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his children, DeCarlos Rawls and Lolita (Louis) Maxwell, and his sister, Cheryl (Benny) Childers. His grandchildren, Destiny Maxwell and Kourtnee Maxwell, and great-grandchildren, Kaiden Maxwell and Kehlani Maxwell, were the light of his life. He cherished every moment spent with them, from sharing stories to celebrating milestones. Michael also played a significant role in the lives of his nephews, Antonio Brown, Terry Brown, Valdez Brown, Trevory Childers, Travis Childers and Titus Sandifer, as well as his great-nieces Teairka Brown, Tresa (Jerome) Parker, and Aryanna Childers, his great nephew, Terry Brown, Jr. and his great-great-niece, Tahiry Childers.

Michael's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and faith. As we honor his memory, let us also celebrate the incredible legacy he left behind and the countless lives he touched with his compassion and kindness. Rest in peace, Michael, knowing you were deeply loved and will be forever missed.
