Meh'lani Hill

Our beautiful baby girl, Meh’Lani Avani Hill, came into our lives  like a beam of light in the darkness, bringing so much joy exactly when we needed it most. She was our blessing, our little miracle, whose laughter filled the home with hope and love. If we had to list an occupation it would be comedian, she was so funny and smart at just four months. Meh’Lani was crawling, holding her own bottle and rolling like a rotisserie chicken

Meh’Lani didn’t just make us smile; she transformed us. From the moment we found out about her we knew she was heaven sent, waking up a part of us that had gone quiet. She brought life back into us when we didn’t even realize how much we needed it. She softened her father’s heart, she instantly became daddy’s baby, and together we learned to see the world in a gentler, more patient way because of her.

She reminded us what it means to love without limits. Though our time with her was heartbreakingly short, we know we were truly blessed for every single moment we got to hold her, sing to her, rock her to sleep, and watch her eyes light up at the world around her. I believe with all my heart that she chose us to be her parents, that she trusted us with her precious spirit, and that she knew how deeply we would love her.

Even as we say goodbye, her memory will guide us. We will carry her in everything we do, determined to honor her by being kinder, stronger, and more grateful for the gift she was. Fly high, our sweet girl. You will always be our light.
