Mattie Woolfolk was born on January 20, 1946, to the late Steven and Margie Gosha. In her early years, she was educated in the Bibb County School System and graduated from Ballard Hudson High School. After graduation, Mattie found work as a supply clerk at Perdue Farms (formerly Cagle's) in Macon, Georgia.
Mattie was a devoted mother and faithful member of Greater New Bethel Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers' Board. When not working or in church, she enjoyed dancing, spending time with her family and doing lots of retail therapy.
Mattie Woolfolk answered God's call on April 28, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Margie Gosha, brothers, Steve Gosha, Jr., Michael Gosha, Lonnie Gosha and Ronald Gordon.
Celebrating her life on earth are...
Her beloved sons: Charles Gosha and Kenneth Gosha (Sandy);
Sister: Julia Taylor; Seven grandchildren;
One great grandson;
Special niece: Pamela Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews
and cousins.
