Martez "Manman" Turner, Sr., of East Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at the age of 31. Born on July 6, 1994, in Macon, Georgia, Martez was a devoted father, loving partner, cherished son, brother, and friend whose presence brought joy, love, and laughter to all who knew him.
He was the beloved son of Arlena Sams (born September 27, 1974) and Dexter Turner (born August 7, 1967), who both survive him. Martez was a proud graduate of Rutland High School's Class of 2012, where he excelled on the football field, wearing #31 with pride. His dedication, strength, and determination-both in sports and in life-reflected his character and his deep love for family and friends.
Martez's greatest joy was his role as a father. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving spouse, Marisa Eleby, and his beautiful children:
LeeLee, Martez Turner Jr., MarQez, MarLaiya, MarLee, and MarLeeyah. Being a dad was his proudest accomplishment, and he filled every moment with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
He is also survived by his siblings: Devontez Turner, Quateshia Sams, Prisanna Turner, Tavartis Turner, Donterrius Turner, Arleon Simmons, Dexter Williams, and Darion Williams, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who loved him deeply.
Martez was known for his big heart, his radiant smile, and his ability to light up any room he entered. He loved life's simple joys-sharing meals, telling stories, and making those around him laugh. His warmth, kindness, and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held in Macon, Georgia. Though his time on earth was far too short, his legacy of love, strength, and joy will live on forever.
Forever in our hearts. Forever missed.
