Mark Faulks Obituary

Mr. Mark Faulks was born on July 20, 1963, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. James Edward Faulks (Sugaman) and the late Ms. Marigold Parks (Ma-Ma). Raised in Sofkee, Georgia, he attended Bibb County Public Schools, where he built a foundation for his lifelong dedication to hard work and learning. Mark later pursued further education at Turner Job Corps, where he honed his skills as a general electrician, a trade that became a testament to his strong work ethic and determination.

Mark was deeply loved by all who knew him.  A devoted husband to Jaccquelin A. Faulks of Macon, Georgia, he created a loving and nurturing home where family was always a priority. Mark’s children, Quinishia N. Peoples of Lithonia, Georgia, and Dallas A. Peoples of Macon, Georgia, were his pride and joy. His eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter brought immense happiness to his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

An avid fisherman, Mark found peace and joy in the simplicity of casting a line and enjoying the beauty of nature. His love for the Atlanta Falcons was unwavering, and he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite team. Whether sharing fishing stories or discussing the latest Falcons game, Mark’s passion was infectious, and he brought light and laughter to every conversation.

Mark’s work ethic was unmatched, and his dedication to his trade as an electrician was evident in all he accomplished. He believed in doing every job with integrity and precision, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and respect in his field.

Mark was preceded in death by his beloved parents, his sister, Beverly Faulks, and his brother, Nathaniel Parks (Ja-bo). He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Jaccquelin A. Faulks; his two children, Quinishia N. Peoples and Dallas A. Peoples; eight grandchildren: Christavian J. Harris, Keyondra A. Harris, Corrian J. Peoples, Dallas A. Peoples, Jr., Dahlan A. Peoples, Keelah M. Campbell, Daijah A. Peoples, and Geddis A. Peoples; one great-granddaughter, Kamaiah C. Harris; eight siblings: Billy H. Faulks, Mary A. Straws, Horace L. (Deann) Faulks, Creighton Faulks, Florence Thompson, Lawrence Faulks, Willie F. (Carissa) Faulks, and Margaret Faulks; his last living aunt, Leila Mae Faulks (AuntSister); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
