Margaret L. Greely Cummings was a derofed mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was marked by love, wisdom, and service.
She found joy in simple pleasures- reading a good book, solving crosswords and puzzles, and tending to her garden with an impressive green thumb that seemed to bring life and beauty to everything she touched. Above all, her greatest happiness came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren, who were the light of her life. One of their fondest memories will always be her sweet voice singing the playful tune, "I love you, a bushel and a pack. A bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck."
She was a devoted member of Progressive Baptist Church, where her faith and fellowship enriched her life and inspired those around her. Known for her sharp intellect, she never missed an opportunity to challenge herself with books, puzzles, or an evening of Jeopardy, delighting in both the knowledge and the competition.
She was the heart and anchor for all who loved her, offering comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her legacy of faith, strength, and compassion will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all those blessed to know her.
She will be dearly missed, yet fondly remembered, and her memory will remain a source of inspiration and love for generations to come.
