Today, we gather not just to mourn, but to celebrate the remarkable life and heavenly homegoing of a truly unforgettable soul—Linwood Bowser, Jr.
As we begin this sacred celebration, we also take a moment to honor other beloved family members who have gone before us. We remember with love: Raymond Bowser, Antonio Bowser, Lucy Bowser, Keith Bowser, Antoine Bowser, and Tizzy Bowser. Though they are no longer with us in body, their spirits remain forever present. May their memories continue to inspire, uplift, and strengthen us as we come together in unity and remembrance.
Let us now pause for a moment of silence and reflection. As we bow our heads and open our hearts, we lift up in prayer Linwood’s family: his siblings—Raymond Bowser, Keith Bowser, Lucy Bowser, and Regina Bowser. His wife, Deborah A. Bowser, and his seven beautiful children—Deborah L.A. Bowser, Sharice Green, Kimela Richardson, Tywaun & Shwaun Bowser, Lavon S. Bowser, and Linwood Bowser III. Linwood also leaves behind a line of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. May they continue his legacy.
Linwood Bowser Jr. was born on September 3, 1957, in Orange, New Jersey, to the late Annie Mae Bowser and Linwood Bowser Sr.
Linwood graduated from Orange High School and carried with him a quiet wisdom and a deep-rooted faith that shaped every aspect of his life. He was a God-fearing man, grounded in humility, integrity, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones. His family always came first, and there was no challenge too great, no sacrifice too large, when it came to their well-being.
He was a man of many passions—sports, music, fashion, laughter, and most of all, family. He loved his sharp suits and classic Cadillacs, but it was his strength, his laughter, and his presence that truly turned heads. His charisma was magnetic. His joy was contagious. He could light up a room with a joke or a song, and his spirit was as bold as it was kind.
Let us not forget—Linwood was also a man who loved to eat, who never turned down a good plate and good company. He found joy in the simple things and gave love in the grandest ways. His life was a testimony of love, strength, and dedication far beyond the average man.
On April 6, 2025, at 1:39 a.m., Heaven gained a king. A warrior. A legend. A man whose legacy will continue to ripple through generations.
God makes no mistakes—and though the pain of his absence runs deep, we find peace in knowing Linwood is now resting in eternal light. He walks with angels, smiles among stars, and watches over us with that same protective love we always knew.
The pain we feel is from life, not death—for death did not take Linwood, it simply welcomed him home. Rest well in Heaven, dear Linwood. We know you are still with us in every sunrise, every song, and every silent prayer.
