It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian Fisher, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, who departed this life on May 20, 2025 at the age of 83 in Macon, Ga.
Born in Washington, DC on May 8, 1942 to Thomas and Juanita Howell (deceased) and raised in Paterson, NJ, where she met and married her husband of more than 40 years, Leroy S. Fisher, Jr. (deceased). Lillian was a proud and lifelong member of the Paterson community. She was known for her attention to detail, unwavering strength, generous spirit. and love of football, especially the NY JETS. (And them Boy's too). Lillian touched the lives of many but kept her circle small because loyalty was of most importance to her. Through her consideration, friends and family alike have had many successful decision making experiences.
Lillian was a dedicated auditor for accounts receivable and payable with Singer-Kearfott. This position allowed her to show her love to her family by providing emotional and financial security. She is survived by Daughter, Lorie Marshall, of Houston, TX, Grandsons Jonathan Craig Pemberton of Humble TX, Jerold Dontre' Pemberton (Katelynn), of Holly Michigan, Jordan Ezekiel Pemberton of Houston Texas, 5 Great-grandchildren, Stephanie Thomas (Niece) of Lizella Ga., Monica Carter (Cousin) of Columbia South Carolina, a host of nieces, nephews and special family and friends around the country, all of whom brought her immense happiness. She was predeceased not only by her parents and spouse, but also by her brothers, Clinton, Larry and Curtis Howell.
Lillian enjoyed organizing family gatherings, group outings, and watching her daughter and grandsons in sports. It wasn't often that you would hear laughter from her, but when you did, you knew it was from sheer joy in her heart. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
