Levie Brown, 79, was born to the parentage of the late Levie and Cora Mae Brown on January 23, 1945.
On Monday, March 18, 2024 at 11:35 AM, he was called to rest in the bosom of our Lord. He was preceded in death by his brother, Noland Brown.
Levie dedicated 50 years of his life to the Atlanta Gas Company as a Crew Leader, showcasing unwavering dedication and commitment to his work. He was forced to leave school early to support his family. He embodied resilience and hard work throughout his life.
A man of profound love and kindness, he was the pillar of his family, providing unwavering support and guidance. His love for fishing, dancing and working on cars brought him joy and solace in his spare time.
On September 3, 1968, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Ethel Brown and to this union two children were born. Their love was a testament to enduring commitment and partnership for 55 years.
He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Ethel Brown; son, Lonnie Brown; daughter, Angela (Willie) Spark; his best friend and great son-in-law, sister, Catherine Holmes; brothers,Clinton (Mary) Brown, Eddie (Sarah) Brown, Johnny B. Brown. He also leaves behind his dependable, reliable and comforting cousin, Jimmy McCollum, Jr. He will be deeply missed by his eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
