Leontine Howard Obituary

Leontine Louise Fields Howard (Tina)was born on October 24, 1967 of Macon, the daughter of the late Leonard and Sybil Fields Jr. Leontine as a young child always enjoyed drawing, reading, dancing, and collecting bugs for her bug collection. She attended and graduated from St. Peter Claver Elementary School in Pleasant Hill, attended high school at Mount De Sales Academy but transferred to Central High School and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1985. Leontine had a passion for learning and decided to continue her education where she attended Clark Atlanta University and graduated in 1989 with a bachelors in Business Administration and Marketing. Leontine continued her studies at Mercer University and completed her teaching certification with Bibb County. Leontine enjoyed working with children, she felt that each child was different and deserved to be treated with love and kindness. Leontine was a proud mother of Desmond Ashley and Shaymon Howard. They were the light of her life. She enjoyed reading and studying God’s word. Leontine was a true Miracle.

Leontine L. Fields Howard gained her Heavenly wings on February 14, 2025. After several years of battling with bone marrow cancer. Her strength was seen every time that you came face to face with her. You knew that you had been in the presence of an angel.  She never complained but always found her peace with God, family, and friends.  

Leontine is survived by her two loving children, Desmond Ashley and Shaymon Howard of Macon; her sister, Cassandra Andrews Fields of Missouri; nephews, Cortillian Andrews, Jr and Caleb Andrews; cousins, George Fadil Muhammad, Gregory Espy, Rodney Primus, and Reginald Primus of Atlanta and Jocelyn and Myrica Primus.
