Leonard King, Sr. was born to the late Willie Lee King on April 14, 1952 in Pleasant Hill, Macon, Georgia. He was raised by his grandmother, Mother Leola Glover King.
Leonard graduated from Job Corps of America where he obtained a trade as a paint mixer being the first African American mixer in Macon, Georgia. On March 14, 1987, he began his career as a car salesman at Paul Walsh Honda of Macon. During his career, he won numerous awards such as car salesman of the month and car salesman of the year. Leonard was well known in the community as THE CAR SALESMAN.
Leonard leaves to cherish his memories his four sons, Toby (Thelma) Jackson, Leonard King, Jr., Quandrellis Johnson (Candace) and Kerenski (Keisha) Johnson; three grandsons, Trevez Jackson, Leonard III, and Kaiysn King; two granddaughters, Brantesha James and Jelani Jackson; a sister, Jacqueline King Phillips; devoted nieces, RonKeisha (Rafael) Terrazas, Daphine Kaye Braswell and Cassandra Inez (Braswell) Fields; devoted friend, Kita Johnson and a host of family and friends.
