The Reflections of Life of Jocelyn D. Johnson

Mrs. Jocelyn D. Johnson was born on August 19, 1953, in Bibb County, Georgia. On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, she was called home to be with the Lord.


On October 28, 1980, Rev. Willie James Johnson and Jocelyn Allen were joined together in Holy Matrimony. In this union, they were blessed with three sons: Theron (Ron), Trobathian (TJ), and Joshia.


Mrs. Johnson received her education in the Bibb County School system where she graduated from Ballard Hudson Technical School. She went on to earn various degrees and certifications from Broward College, Macon Technical College, and Central Georgia Technical College. She was a hard worker and loved computer technology. She retired from Sun Bank in Florida. She was blessed to work and take classes at Central Georgia Technical College upon her returning to Macon. After working in several different departments with various assignments she retired in January of 2019.


Mrs. Johnson was a true servant who loved the Lord. She was faithful and dedicated to God and her church, Divine Presence Worship Center, Inc. where she served as an usher, greeter, and the church secretary. She also was the secretary for Youth with Purpose, Inc. since 2001. In 2021, She became a member of the SILK Book Club. She really enjoyed the reading, traveling and fellowship with the members of the club.


Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Johnson; both of her parents, James, Sr. and Dorothy Allen, five brothers: Wayne Allen, James Allen Jr., Kelvin Allen, Donnie Allen and Greg Allen; one sister: Lynnette Butler and her husband Rickey Butler; and one niece: Latoya Sleezer. Mrs. Johnson leaves to cherish her memories her brother: Kenneth (Jeanette) Allen; her sons: Theron (Sherry) Allen of Powder Springs, Georgia; Trobathian Johnson of Columbia, South Carolina, Joshia (Jene’) Johnson of Houston, Texas; her bonus sons: Pastor Dr. Joey Johnson, Lesley (Vanessa) Johnson, Tracey Johnson; her bonus daughters: Wonda Johnson, Ava McMahon, Shenna Earl, and Catherine McGuire. Eight grandchildren: Journey and Ma’Syrah Allen, Theron Allen, Jr., Tyrie Allen, Tevin Allen (Leslie Price); Trinishell Cummings (Shelley Cummings), Kingston Glover, Janyciah Keets; she also leaves to cherish her memories eight great grandchildren with two great grandchildren on the way, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, spiritual children, special friends, and church family.
