Jerome Swain was born on July 17th, 1949, to the parentage of Wade and Willie Mae Swain. He was raised in the Pleasant Hill Neighborhood in Macon, Georgia.
Jerome was educated by the Bibb County Public School system. After graduating high school, Jerome enlisted into the United States Army. After being discharged, Jerome worked numerous jobs as a day laborer. He was a devoted family man loved by his community and always trying to make everyone smile.
Jerome was deeply loved by many, known for riding his bike all over Macon, and making deep connections with everyone he came across. He was a joyful being that will truly be missed.
Jerome peacefully returned home to his Heavenly Father on May 28, 2026, at Atrium Health Navicent Hospice Pine Pointe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade Swain and Willie Mae Swain and his brother, Alphonso Swain.
He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Rodney Manuel; his sisters, Celestine Robinson and Constance Stewart; eleven loving grandchildren, Rodney Manuel, Jr., Yameka Kendrick, Roderick
Manuel, Christopher Davis, Alexia Davis, Cameron Jackson, Keiontrez Jackson, Jordan Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Ja’Rodney Jackson and Daeja Jackson and a very special nephew, Keith Swain
and a host of nieces, nephews and friends that will miss him dearly.
