Jennifer Calhoun Lawrence, born on April 4,1981, was a beloved daughter of Sherman and Patricia Calhoun and biological mother, Mary Bertram. She received her education at Steuben Elementary School and later attended Kankakee High School. Jennifer was a devoted member of Lionheart Church in Atlanta, Georgia, where she nurtured her faith and found joy in fellowship. She was known not only for her strong spiritual foundation but also for her radiant beauty-both inside and out—which Left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Jennifer was united in marriage to Marlon Lawrence on September 1, 2009, and together they built a loving and devoted family. From this union, they were blessed with three beautiful children, Sole'ya, Emarie, and Destiny. She took immense pride in caring for her children and grandchildren, Jaleya ("Yummy") Reese, Jakaylon ("JJ") Reese, and A'Lonnie Lawrence. Her warmth, kindness, and selfless spirit made her a pillar of strength and comfort to those closest to her.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her mothers, Patricia Calhoun and Mary Bertram; and her sister, JaNean Calhoun.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving husband of sixteen years, Marlon Lawrence; her children, Sole ya, Emarie and Destiny; her grandchildren, Jaleya (Yummy) Reese, Jakaylon (JJ Reese and A'Lonnie Lawrence; her siblings, Jacqueline Calhoun-Miller, Jerhonda Calhoun, Danielle Bertram-Harris, Kudde Bertram, and Angel Bertram-Moore; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Jennifer will forever be remembered for how deeply she was loved, her undeniable beauty, and her steadfast devotion to her family. Her legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
