Jazine Katrina née Thompson Joseph was born on December 18, 1985, at Spanish Town Hospital in St. Catherine, Jamaica, to Gwendolyn Jones and Felix Thompson. She was the youngest of five siblings—beloved sister to Michelle Adams, Deborah Ann McKenzie, Andrene Thompson, and Andrew Thompson. She was a devoted wife to Donald Joseph and a loving mother to her four children, Johnathan Phanor, Jamar Joseph, Jamal Joseph, and Jaliyah Joseph.
Jazine began her education at just two years old at Chin’s Basic School, where her teachers adored her so much that they often let her stay in the classroom whenever she wished.
In July 2001, she moved from Jamaica to Broward County, Florida, to live with her mother in Lauderhill. She attended Boyd H. Anderson High School in Lauderdale Lakes before relocating to Boynton Beach, Florida. There, she transferred to Boynton Beach Community High School, where she graduated in 2004. Following her graduation, Jazine attended Ruby’s Academy in Lauderhill, Florida, where she earned her certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA).
On April 4, 2006, at the age of 20, Jazine welcomed her first child, Johnathan Alexander Phanor, in Boynton Beach, Florida.
In November 2008, Jazine met Donald Joseph, and the two were married in Boynton Beach on June 6, 2009. Their union was blessed with three children: twin sons, Jamar (“Jay”) and Jamal (“Junior”) Joseph, born on August 3, 2010, and their daughter, Jaliyah Daniella Joseph, born on August 5, 2011.
Jazine worked as a CNA until 2019, when she and her family moved from Boynton Beach to Macon, Georgia, on April 2, 2019. Shortly after settling there, she began attending Liberty United Methodist Church in Macon. On her 37th birthday, December 18, 2022, she was baptized and became a member of the church—a moment that filled her with faith and joy.
Above all, Jazine loved her family deeply. She shared a special bond with each of her children, especially her eldest son, Johnathan, and her son Jamal. They loved spending time together—whether it was shopping trips or family adventures, such as their memorable visits to Disney World in 2017 and Jamaica in 2020.
On September 11, 2025, Jazine peacefully joined the Lord. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit, love, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. To her family and friends, she will forever be remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend who touched countless lives with her warmth and compassion.
