James Lee Tunstell, Jr was born to the parentage of James Tunstell and Eula Beaton on 21 September 1948.
James attended public school in Birmingham AL. His family moved to Racine, Wisconsin where he finished his education. After graduating high school, he and his mother attended a trade school together. Upon his completion, he joined the USAF in 1968. At his first duty station in Warner Robins AFB is where he met his loving wife, Azelene Ashley. They were united in matrimony in 1969, and to this union five children were added. After serving in the military, he attended Georgia Technical School where he received countless certifications.
James was truly an exceptional Jack of all Trades. He busied himself building and repairing things. He was a faithful member and Deacon at Macedonia. From his vision and dedication, the Media Ministry at Macedonia was birthed.
James is the eldest of five children. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rosalyn Ashley and youngest sister, Roslyn Tunstell.
James is survived by his wife, Azelene; aunt, Geneva Moore of OH; his sister, Princess Wells of Macon, Georgia, Ralph Tunstell (wife, Arrevelon) of WI, David Tunstell (wife Berlinda) of IN; sister-in-law, Pearline Gibson of Macon; brother-in-law, Norris Ashley (wife Lucille) of FL; children, Coleitha Heffner (Charles), Nicholous, Darius (Karmesha) and Demetrius; 4 grandchildren, Zakia, Dorian, Ethan and Ari; one great granddaughter, Kalaya; devoted friends, Johnny James, Ken Reddick, Joe Aaron, Willie James, Calvin Gilliam, Ronald Leonard and a host of other friends, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
He was known as a father, mentor, and uncle to many.
