Ivan Gerard Evans, affectionately known as Rard, was born to the parentage of the late Wilson T. Evans, Sr. and the late Ernestine D. Harden Evans Goolsby on August 19, 1962, in Macon, Georgia.
He attended schools in Macon, Georgia and East Orange, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Northeast High School, class of 1980 in Macon, Georgia. Ivan served in the United States Navy for 8 years. Over the years, he worked for Bibb Mill, Trane, Paragon/Tyco/First Quality and Allied Universal Security Company.
Besides his parents, Ivan was preceded in death by his “Big Bruh” Wilson T. Evans, Jr.
Rard loved God and God said “Come on home” on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
He leaves to cherish the many memories to his wife, Liezel Maganda Evans; daughters, Sherita James Flournoy (Courtney), Sydney I. Evans; grandson, Cairo I. Flournoy; stepdaughters, Eloisa Maganda, Julia Idelfonso; sister, Daphne C. Evans; brother, Sheldon G. Evans and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
