We celebrate the life of our beloved Irvin Riggins, affectionately known as “Tiny”. He was born September 6, 1946 to the parentage of the late J.C. Riggins and Ethel Durham Riggins.
He was baptized at White Springs Baptist Church at an early age. He was employed with the Twiggs County Board of Education as a part-time bus driver for a short period of time. Thereafter, became a self employed certified “Junk man” and Scrap Iron man.
Irvin was called to eternal rest on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. He was preceded in death by his son, Stacey Riggins; two sisters, Ethel “Weasie” Riggins and Gracie Riggins and one brother, James “Bang” Riggins.
Irvin leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Linda Riggins; sisters, Anna Flowers of Macon, Georgia, Dora (Alton) Williams, Mattie (Antonio) Byron and Gloria Riggins all of Dry Branch, Georgia, Willie Mae Nicklson and Lythonia Eason of Huntsville, Alabama and Annie (Carl) Townsend of Cleveland, Ohio; brothers, Jerome (Jennie) Riggins and John (Eliza) Riggins of Dry Branch, Georgia; two aunts, Ruby Jackson and Mattie Riggins of Macon, Georgia; one uncle, Willie (Trunell) Durham of Macon, Georgia; five sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; three grandchildren, Shanequa Riggins, Cassandra Riggins and Jarvis (April) Riggins all of Macon, Georgia; four great grandchildren; a special and devoted nephew, Roderick “Rico” Riggins; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
