Sister Inez Guyton fell asleep in death on September 25, 2025. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1999 in Columbus, Georgia, and remained faithful, always speaking with love and zeal about her God, Jehovah.
Inez graduated high school with a diploma and later worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Miami, Florida, and Macon, Georgia, where she cared deeply for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Mae and Willie Granville; her brother, Eugene Granville; and two of her children, Anthony Maynard and Teresa Stephens. She leaves behind her brother, James Henry Granville (Phyllis); her loving sister, Kathy Granville; her aunt, Everlene Herston, uncle Fred (Ann) Hill; and her three loving daughters: Cynthia Granville, Amethyst (Amy) Guyton, and Yolanda Guyton.
Her memory will live on through her many grandchildren: Latalia Hutchings, Shatara Moore, Davoris Guyton, Antwanez Guyton, Trintauris Guyton, Shawn Guyton, Trettorian Guyton, Asia Nash, Anquette Granville, Dennis Rolle, Jamell Rolle, Cheryll Chatman and James Mitchell. She also had a special bond with her great-granddaughter, Demei Moore; and leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Inez had a special gift in the kitchen. She was an excellent cook—known by many as the best cook in the South. She loved entertaining her family and spiritual family with her delicious meals, and her hospitality brought people together with joy, laughter, and love.
She also embraced her spiritual family with warmth and devotion. Her spiritual daughters, Gloria Barnes and Tina Jackson, and spiritual son, Jesse Barnes, as well as her dear spiritual sisters, Ava Lane and Erlene Harrington, were especially close to her heart. Sister Guyton expressed her deep appreciation for the love and support of her congregations: Milledgeville North, Westgate, and Northwoods.
