Gregory Jackson

Gregory Jackson, also known as DJ G-Nice, was born on December 15, 1975, to the union of Felton and Rebecca Jackson. On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, he passed away at Piedmont Macon Hospital.

Born in Macon, Georgia, he was educated in the Bibb County School District. He was a graduate of The Northeast High School Class of 1994. Gregory was a proud Raider and enjoyed attending many events hosted by his alma mater. Greg had a love for art, drawing and playing basketball.

Gregory's love for life grew as he began to make career and other life choices. In his journey for love, Gregory met and married Stephanie Salter on May 13, 2012. From that union, he proudly accepted the role of being a bonus father to Titustavius Freeman and Tatiana Freeman. Gregory's career choices allowed him to explore many paths. He enjoyed working as a manager at Radio Shack and Arby's, at Cherokee Brick and Tile, FedEx, and as the Transportation Specialist with Quality Transportation Company. However, the one job that he loved and cherished the most was being a disc jockey. Gregory, a.k.a. DJ G-Nice, enjoyed playing and helping people entertain their families and friends with music.  His passion for being a disc jockey extended over 20 years.  He developed close relationships and worked with several celebrities during his career.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John Henry Richardson Jr. and Mattie Brailsford Richardson; paternal grandparents Mattie Ward and Andrew Jackson; and his uncle John Henry Richardson III. Gregory leaves his loving memories cherished by his parents, Felton and Rebecca Jackson, his siblings, Anissa Colbert, Erica Jackson, Racquel Jackson, Joann Jackson, Brian Jackson, Sr., Tiffany Jackson, Anthony Jackson (cousin/brother); nieces and nephews, Kiana Jackson, Aurelius Jackson, Jacquez Clark, Ariana Jackson, Aiyanna Jackson, Ja' Nae Clark, Jaden Clark, Aliyah Jackson, Brian Jackson, Jr., Azaylia Jackson, Jamirah Clark, Kobe Tolliver, Adrienne Evans, Alaia Jackson, and Kyndall Evans; aunts and uncles, Emma (James) Spann, Rosa (Paul) Nathaniel, Reva Richardson, Pauline (Jonathan) Blake, Elizabeth Kilgore, and Mattie (Jeffrey) Walker, and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
