Glenda Marie Turner Lindsey was born on February 22, 1957, in Baldwin, Michigan, to the parentage of Gwendolyn Alice Turner and Phillip Pearson.
She was raised in Detroit, Michigan, where she attended school and built a strong foundation rooted in love, family, and faith.
Glenda was a member of Faith & Action Baptist Church in Eastman, Georgia. Her faith remained an important part of her life and guided her love, compassion, and care for others.
Glenda was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She found joy in life's simple and meaningful moments. She enjoyed cooking meals for her family, sewing, playing cards and family games, and spending time skating and bowling. Most of all, she cherished being surrounded by those she loved. Her warmth, laughter, and caring spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She dedicated her professional life to caring for others and retired from A Bundle of Joy Learning Center, where she touched the lives of many children and families.
Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Otis Lindsey, and her sister, Kimberly Evans.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her mother, Gwendolyn Boyer; her father, Phillip Pearson; her four children, Katina Simmons, Otis Darnell (Tonya) Simmons, Ontriel (Tonia) Simmons, and Gwenkeia (Richard) Green; six sisters; Jacquelyn Springer, Joyce (Kurt) Johnson, Karen (Norman) Lee, Lillian Boyer, Tonya Pearson, and Saskia (Paul) Koepke; one brother, Quincy (Lisa) Pearson. She also has fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. She also leaves behind a special friend, Raphael Bradshaw.
Glenda will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her, but her love and memories will live on forever in the hearts of her family.
