Gladys Sinclair, affectionately known by many as Boo Boo, was born on December 10, 1954, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. Roosevelt Daniely and Mrs. Emma Woolfolk Daniely. On May 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, she peacefully transitioned from this life, leaving behind a legacy rooted in love, faith, and unwavering devotion.
Gladys was one of the beloved Daniely 8, a close-knit family whose bond was as strong as it was sacred. She was the sixth born, following her siblings, Jeanette (Bill), Roosevelt (Ethel Pearl), Leroy (Phyllis), David (Aloma), and Tom, and serving as a caring elder to Mike (Ann) and Sylvester. From a young age, Gladys was shaped by the values of family, faith, and perseverance-values that would become the foundation of her life's journey.
She accepted Jehovah into her heart early in life and remained faithful to her ministry for over 50 years. Her love for God was reflected in every interaction—calm, compassionate, and deeply sincere. She lived her beliefs fully, walking with humility, strength, and unwavering purpose.
Gladys was a devoted mother, a proud and nurturing grandmother, a treasured sister and aunt, and a loyal friend to many. Her quick-witted humor, often sharp but always full of love, had the power to brighten any space she entered. She was known for her warmth, her honesty, and her ability to uplift those around her with a single smile or perfectly timed joke.
For more than 25 years, Gladys dedicated herself to her work family at the Baconsfield Kroger in East Macon, where she became a beloved face in the community. Whether helping a customer, mentoring a coworker, or offering words of comfort or encouragement, she made Kroger a better place-more joyful, more human, more heart-filled.
Her greatest pride and joy were her family. She is survived by her two beloved children, Shequita "Tonya" Blake (Carlos Blake) and Michael Sinclair (TiMiko Sinclair); her nine adored grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whose lives she deeply touched.
Gladys now joins her husband, Milton Sinclair, her parents, Roosevelt and Emma, and all of her cherished siblings who preceded her in eternal rest. We find comfort in knowing that she is wrapped in their love and held in God's eternal light.
Gladys was a woman of quiet strength, adventurous spirit, and unshakable faith. Her love lives on in every soul she touched, every heart she lifted, and life she helped shape.
